At Waisly, we take your privacy seriously. This policy explains how we handle your personal information.
Information We Collect
What we collect depends on how you use Waisly. Without an account, your financial data stays on your device — we receive nothing. If you create an account, we collect your email and basic profile info. If you use AI features (paste text, scan receipt), the content you submit is sent to our AI provider for parsing. If you subscribe to Pro and enable cloud sync, your financial data (transactions, items, wallets, budgets, goals, subscriptions) is uploaded to our servers so it can sync across your devices.
How We Use Your Information
We use your data only to provide and improve the service: parsing transactions, syncing across your devices, generating insights, and sending account-related notifications. We never sell your data.
AI Processing
Waisly uses a third-party AI provider to parse pasted text and receipt images into structured transactions. Content you submit through AI features is transmitted to this provider for processing. The provider does not train its models on your content. AI features are optional.
Data Storage and Security
By default, your data lives only on your device, in encrypted local storage. If you enable cloud sync (Pro), your data is transmitted over TLS and stored encrypted at rest on our servers. We do not currently offer end-to-end encryption — our servers can technically read synced data in order to serve it back to your other devices.
Your Rights
You can export all your data, delete your financial data while keeping your account, or delete your account entirely — all from within the app. Local-only data can be cleared by uninstalling Waisly.
